(PR) Frightened Rabbit will return to the States this fall by popular demand. Their ever-increasing fanbase has rapidly multiplied since the release of their sophomore LP, The Midnight Organ Fight (FatCat Records), which has received near unanimous praise. To further satiate the ravenous fans, FatCat will release a live and mostly-acoustic version of Midnight Organ Fight, titled Liver! Lung! FR!, October 21, in conjunction with this jaunt, as the foursome continues their musical trek through the U.S. and Canada. Captured live July 30 at the Captain's Rest in the band's hometown Glasgow, the album is an intimate set that brings singer Scott Hutchison's wrenching vocals to the forefront. The Twilight Sad's James Graham further enhances the emotional delivery with a guest vocal contribution on an incredible version of "Keep Yourself Warm." The lads will kick this run off in Cleveland with a free in-store performance at Music Saves October 15 and finish up at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin on November 9, before heading to Europe to open for Death Cab for Cutie.
Having shared stages with French Kicks and Oxford Collapse this past year and honed their musical prowess, Frightened Rabbit's live show has become increasingly notable. "Singer Scott Hutchison's urgency at the microphone and his gritty guitar work was palpable," exclaimed DenverPost.com, adding: "Coupled with the pride-sparking element inherent in the cadences of a wily Scottish accent and the raw energy, Frightened Rabbit's music translated to an epic live show."
