(antiMusic) We're waiting for word back from The Misfits publicist to see if we can get to the real reason behind the following news, but for now we can tell you that the current incarnation of the Misfits have pulled out of the upcoming tour with metal legends Motorhead. Misfits frontman Jerry Only posted the following update on the band's website: "For the sake of our loyalty and dedication to all our fiends, the Misfits have chosen to withdraw from the lineup of Volcom's 2008 tour.
"The Misfits have always held an incredibly high standard of performance and quality in everything we do. Our fans expect this and deserve it. I will not compromise their expectations for any amount of money, prestige or fame."
We sure hope he wasn't saying that playing with Lemmy and co was beneath them. Perhaps Motorhead can call in Danzig to take the slot. In other news, Motorhead will be participating in three in store signings for their new album Motorizer. Here are the details:
