(PR) In the mockumentary cult classic This Is Spinal Tap!, guitarist Nigel Tufnel memorably explains how his amp went beyond the norm with a setting of 11. "Where can you go from there?" he wondered. Well, Daryl Hall turns it up a notch with his free web-show, Live From Daryl's House, this month, featuring Canadian rock band Finger Eleven as special guests on the 11th, and latest, edition.Live From Daryl's House has become a destination for music fans seeking the latest in up-and-coming artists collaborating with the legendary rock singer/songwriter. This month's installment features guitarists James Black and Rick Jackett from Finger Eleven, which formed in 1989 in Burlington, Ontario, and were signed to Wind-up Records a decade ago. Their self-titled 2003, gold-certified release included the Top 5 single, "One Thing," while 2007's similarly gold Them vs. You vs. Me produced the massive crossover hit "Paralyzer," which has become the 18th most downloaded song in history, with sales approaching 2.5 million.
"First of all, Daryl's house was amazing!," marvels Finger Eleven's James Black about the performer's residence in upstate New York. "Old Revolutionary war walls and a haunted cat. Then to hear Daryl transpose his classic sound over our songs was an amazing trip. Great music, great people, great time."
The duo performed its own "Paralyzer," "Falling On," "Talking to the Walls" and I"ll Keep Your Memory Vague" with Daryl taking lead vocals.
The show with Finger Eleven can be seen exclusively at www.livefromdarylshouse.com starting Sept. 15 at 8:00 pm EST.
