(PR) Long recognized as a band whose ample tours have kept them well-connected to their loyal fans, British rockers Marillion confirm their love of touring, and its metaphor for life, with an ambitious new double-CD, Happiness Is The Road. Their 15th studio album, to be released October 20 on the band's own Racket Records, is currently in pre-orders on their website (www.Marillion.com) and will be available to download concurrent with its street release date. An extensive 2008-09 European tour is set to begin November 8 in Inverness, Scotland. Volume 1, Essence, includes the tracks "Dreamy Street," "This Train is my Life," "Essence," "Wrapped Up in Time," "Liquidity," "Nothing Fills the Hole," "Woke Up," "Trap the Spark," "A State of Mind" and "Happiness is the Road." Volume 2, The Hard Shoulder, includes "Thunder Fly," "The Man from the Planet Marzipan," "Asylum Satellite #1," "Older than Me," "Throw Me Out," "Half the World," "Whatever is Wrong with You," "Especially True" and "Real Tears for Sale." Designed as a concept album, Happiness is the Road will offer its first single on October 1, via iTunes, "Whatever is Wrong with You (Is So Right For Me)," a mid-tempo track laced with ethereal guitars, which celebrates a lover's eccentricities. Additionally, Marillion have once again invited fans to be a part of the process with a contest (the winner will receive £5000) to make their own video for the first single and upload their interpretation to YouTube. The winning video will be determined on December 1 by the video most viewed on YouTube. For a listen to the single and more information on the contest please visit www.whateveriswrongwithyou.com. Already the track has more than 20,000 downloads and over 140 fan videos up on YouTube!!! One of the UK's best-kept secrets, Marillion has developed a unique and intimate relationship with their fans, whose passion and dedication is unparalleled. Since their debut album in 1983, the band has become known for soulful, powerful, often deeply moving music, and for blistering live shows that leave their audiences breathless. Continually forging into new musical territories with a succession of inventive, emotional albums over a quarter-century, the band launched their own record label, Racket Records, in 1999. In 2009, Marillion set out to the road, performing their new music with stops throughout Europe, North America and a highly anticipated Marillion Weekend fan convention in Holland.
