(PR) The Lee Boys, a "sacred steel" sextet from Miami, will perform on Late Night With Conan O'Brien on Monday, December 8th. This follows a recent performance on the prestigious West Virginia Public Radio show, Mountain Stage, and a successful November tour with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
On December 2nd, The Lee Boys will release a new DVD entitled "Live At Bonnaroo" that will be available at shows and on their website.
The Lee Boys is a band that transcends the boundaries set by musical genres. An energetic blend of R&B, gospel, hip-hop, rock and country driven by the pedal steel guitar, The Lee Boys win over audiences wherever they perform. 2008 has been a monumental year for the band. This year, band has performed at over 50 of the country's biggest music festivals, including New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Bonnaroo, High Sierra, Memphis in May, Summercamp, Cornerstone Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, and Austin City Limits Festival. They have toured with North Mississippi Allstars, Michelle Shocked, Susan Tedeschi, Victor Wooten and more!
Upcoming shows include Sullivan Hall in New York City on December 9th; several performances during Warren Haynes' annual Christmas Jam in Asheville in December; a boat-rockin' show on the "Jam Cruise" in January of 2009; and a two week tour with The Travelin' McCourys beginning on January 21, 2009.
