.
(PR) Long running San Diego based group, The Shambles, release their sixth album, Desde Ayer, on Dec. 10. The album takes advantage of the bands prolific nature and collects fourteen tracks from a wide variety of studio sources. Geared to both die-hard fans and casual listeners, Desde Ayer includes a number of outtakes from side projects, alternate mixes, demos -and more. Emerging from the power-pop explosion of the early nineties, The Shambles continue to create music that touches on their Mod and sixties pop roots, adding seventies AM radio, Spanish rock and a dash of jangle to the mix. The band has toured extensively in England, Spain, Mexico and the U.S., releasing music in those countries as well as Canada, Sweden, Japan, Germany and Denmark.Desde Ayer tops a hectic year for The Shambles. The past twelve months have seen the band featured on the cover of music magazine, The Troubadour, as well as the release of an all covers album, 20 Explosive Hits, the taping of jingles for Mod Radio UK and numerous concert, radio and TV appearances. A number of different producer/engineers work is included on Desde Ayer, including Alan Sanderson (The Rolling Stones/Weezer), Gregory Page (The Rugburns, Jason Mraz) and Jason Hee (Buzzkill Romantics, Billy Midnight) with the compilation itself and post production work by Bart Mendoza and frequent collaborator/ Shamble emeritus Mike Kamoo (The Stereotypes/Lights On). Various line ups of the band and a few friends contribute to the proceedings, including Victor Penalosa (The Quarter After/The Fuzztones), Mark DeCerbo (Four Eyes/Rockola), Dylan Martinez (Rookie Card/Static Halo), David Lizerbram (Kite Flying Society) and Danny Cress (The Coyote Problem).
