(PR) The Saint Alvia Cartel (Boy Sets Fire, Grade, Jersey and The Video Dead) are set to bring their signature sound to the United States for the first time with the release of their critically acclaimed "S/T" CD on June 24, 2008. Burlington, Ontario's favorite sons, The Saint Alvia Cartel took the airwaves by storm with the Canada only release of their debut, self-titled full-length CD in 2007. Their signature blend of punk, reggae, new wave and full-on rock blew audiences away and garnered insane amounts of glowing press coverage. Their 3 videos and singles in Canada all smashed into college and commercial Top 20 charts. They've been nominated for a ton of awards including a Juno Award (the Canadian equivalent to a Grammy).
Since the release, The Saint Alvia Cartel has been hitting the road with a vengeance. They are scheduled to perform about 90% of this summer's Warped Tour 2008 and previously took part in high profile events including Scene Fest, Wakestock, Casby Awards, Edge Next Big Thing, AMP'd Live, Montreal Int'l Jazz Fest, POP Montreal, CMW, and Halifax Pop Explosion. The Saint Alvia Cartel have picked up a slew of award nominations from CBC's New Music Canada, The CASBY's and the Hamilton Music Awards. A new video is also in the works for the dance floor favorite "Blonde Kryptonite". - more info
