(antiMusic) Looks like someone is looking for some publicity! Here is the press release we received: Given the recent commotion over Lustra's fans discovery of Miley Cyrus' alleged borrowing of their music, Lustra would like to invite Ms. Cyrus to join them on stage at the Viper Room, Thursday, May 29, 2008. Lustra would play their song "Scotty Doesn't Know", following by Ms. Cyrus' "Rockstar", and then let their fans decide. [Do they let 15 year-olds into the Viper Room?] Initially, it was the many legions of Lustra fans that discovered the similarities with Ms. Cyrus' music. Hence, Lustra believes that the fans should decide if the copyright problem does exist. "We don't want anything other than credit for the music we worked so very hard on," declares Nick Cloutman, Lustra's guitarist. "We don't believe for a second that Ms. Cyrus knew what was happening and was only following instructions." Disney has admitted publicly that Ms. Cyrus' does not write her own music but rather plays the songs that are selected for her. Lustra is well aware of that and realizes Ms. Cyrus' dilemma and that she much like them, is a victim of corporate behavior. Another way to rectify this is to have Lustra appear on Hannah Montana as themselves and Hannah could open for the band in a show. Lustra could appear on the show as Hannah's musical influence. "We could share even more of our songs with Ms. Cyrus, just as long as we get credit for it, which is what we have wanted all along."
