(antiMusic) A Clockwork Orange is one of the greatest novels of the 20th century and ended up one of the greatest films ever! But imagine for a moment is Mick Jagger had played the lead in the film instead of Malcolm McDowell. Strange as that sounds it was a possibility. And the Fab Four almost got involved too!Gigwise has the story: Members from rock and roll music's two biggest bands wanted to contribute to the movie A Clockwork Orange, according to a letter from the film's executive producer. Writing to John Schlesinger, who was considering directing the film, Si Litvinoff said that the Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger wanted to play the psychotic criminal, Alex.
