(PR) Currently gearing up for his second summer tour with Ringo Starr And His All-Starr Band, legendary rocker Edgar Winter will offer a sneak peak of his upcoming new album Rebel Road on the popular syndicated radio show Rockline on Wednesday, June 4 from 8:30-10:30 p.m. PST. In addition to premiering tracks from the album, which features exciting guest performances by Slash, country superstar Clint Black and Winter's brother, blues guitar great Johnny Winter, the singer and multi-instrumentalist will be interviewed by longtime Rockline host Bob Coburn. Coburn, a rock radio institution who was an on-air personality on Los Angeles' KLOS from 1980-1994, will also play what he calls "a frighteningly good version" of Winter's classic 'Frankenstein' that the artist performed live on the show several years ago.
Rockline is still the only national call in radio show that gives listeners a chance to speak directly with the artists in a setting comfortable enough to accommodate the superstars of rock and roll.
A fresh, dynamic extension of the multi-talented singer, songwriter, keyboardist and saxophonist's classic musical vibe, the perfectly titled albumyes, Winter still calls his projects "albums"brings his four decade career full circle. Beyond the all-star contributions, the 11-track collection marks a flourishing of the creative relationship between Winter and Curt Cuomo, who has worked extensively with classic rocker Eddie Money over the past ten years and whose credits include "Pyscho Circus" among numerous songs with Kiss. Cuomo, who first worked with Winter as co-writer of "You Are My Song" on 1999's Winter Blues, co-produced Rebel Road with Winter and is a co-writer on nine songs along with songwriter James Baker; he also contributes percussion, vocals and organ work.
Rebel Road is set for international release on July 8.
