(antiMusic) Most people will look at a band named Slightly Stoopid and automatically write them off. That would be majorly stupid, as these guys have a lot to offer as their brand new album, 'Slightly Not Stoned Enough To Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid,' shows. They're carrying on the Reggae tradition proudly into the 21 century. With their new album hitting stores this week we hear from the band about some of the songs. Here they are with today's song: "I Would Do For You," "Thinkin' 'Bout Cops," "Know Your Rider," "Chaunch" - KYLE: We did an album called 'Closer to the Sun'– we went in and recorded 50 or 60 songs because we were having so much fun. We had way too many for that album – we put it out as extra songs with that CD as a bonus. People ended up liking it but not being able to get it. We went in and recorded some songs with Inner Circle, added a couple of songs from here and there, and just wrapped it up.
My friend Miguel has been producing with us since we were in high school – a really talented person when it comes down to making beats or playing guitar or producing, he's f***ing sick. "I Would Do For You" was one of all our favorite UB40 songs. He put the beat down and laid the groove down on his MPC. We went to his pad and threw it all together, and finished it up. It turned out really nice.
