Gene Simmons Signs on As Judge In New TV Talent Show

.
(BW&BK) The world needs more TV talent shows. At least Survivor mogul Mark Burnett thinks so. After the failure of "Rock Star," Burnett is back with a new show called "Jingles" and he's hired the guy that wrote the immortal lyric "Ooh baby, wanna put my log in your fireplace" as a judge. BW&BK has the story: CBS has said "You're hired" to Kiss [bassist/vocalist] Gene Simmons, tapping him to serve as a judge on its upcoming Mark Burnett reality series Jingles. In addition to his A&E reality show Family Jewels, Mr. Simmons' last major TV gig was as a contestant on the celebrity edition of Mr. Burnett's The Apprentice. He also is a successful businessman, heading up his own marketing company. Signing on to serve as an 'advisory panel' for Mr. Simmons are Linda Kaplan Thaler and Julie Roehm. Ms. Thaler is best known for writing the I Don't Want To Grow Up jingle for Toys 'R' Us. Ms. Roehm is a former marketing chief for Wal-Mart who left the company under a cloud of scandal. - more on this story
