Midnight To Twelve Week: Day 3 "Slam"

07/16/2008
.
(antiMusic) Are you a bit tired of emo? Burnt out on mallcore and bling obsessed hip-hop? If so, alternative rockers Midnight to Twelve just might have what you are looking for. The band's surprisingly eclectic self-titled album hits stores next week and to get you ready for it we asked frontman Jon Hartman to pick some of his favorite songs from the album and tell us about them. Here is Jon with today's song:

"Slam" This song was featured on the TV show One Tree Hill and was really the reason that we pulled the trigger and hit the road full time. We had pockets of fans around the country that wanted us in their city to rock out. We packed up everything and hit the road.

It's also the first single off our self-titled debut that will hit the shelves in stores July 22nd. It's a classic getting dumped on your butt song but it's really about freedom from people, places or things. It may hurt to those them at first but it is usually for the best. Sometimes we need to feel low to appreciate feeling great.

Hear what it's all about, learn more about the band and the CD, plus find out where you can see them live. It's all right - here
