Sonic Youth Plot New CD for 2009

(Xfm) Fresh from the success of touring their 1988 classic 'Daydream Nation' for ATP's Don't Look Back series, the New York noiseniks are planning their next aural assault.

Though nothing concrete has been confirmed, Sonic Youth are already planning their next and 21st album for a 2009 release.

Talking to reporters after an appearance in their native New York, frontman Thurston Moore said the band would soon begin working on the follow-up to 2006's 'Rather Ripped'. - more on this story
