(FMQB) Nominees for Canada's 2008 Juno Awards were announced today, with Celine Dion leading the pack for the Canuck equivalent of the Grammy Awards.

Dion is up for six awards, including Album of the Year (for Taking Chances), Juno Fan Choice Award, Artist of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Francophile Album of the Year.

Avril Lavigne is nominated for five Junos, as the Pop star is up for the Juno Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year ("Girlfriend"), Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. - more on this story
