(antiMusic) Each day this week members of Bullet For My Valentine will tell a little bit about some of the tracks off of their new CD "Scream Aim Fire." Today they tell us about "Forever and Always". Matt: This is the final track on the record, and musically it's probably the most epic thing we've ever done. Huge, huge instrumental, melodic outro, "Radio Ga Ga"-style, lots of drums…
Moose: The way it was written is weird – the end was written first, I can remember on the back of the tour bus…
Matt: Yeah, the song was written in reverse, which we'd never done before. We came up with a riff and then I got the end before the rest of the song. It's really anthemic, an arena-style kind of song. Lyrically it's just about love/hate relationship, of being on the road for a long time, about all the crap we go through, about all the good things we go through. No matter what we go through as a band and as individuals, it's just like the reference to the song title - I want to stay here forever and always, just be on the stage rocking out.
Moose: And when there's no one else, there's always music.
Matt: That's true, and that's a fitting way to end off.
