(Music Radar) Last spring, Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin hinted that the band might be finished with making albums. Now band leader Billy Corgan has confirmed such plans.Speaking to the Chicago Tribune, Corgan said that the harsh reaction given the band's 2007 'comeback' release, Zeitgeist, took him by surprise - and made him rethink recording other albums. On top of that, he sees a whole new culture where albums have become passe. "There is no point. People don't even listen to it all. They put it on their iPod, they drag over the two singles and skip over the rest." - He has more to say he also explains why the band originally broke up. Two words: James Iha
