Silverstein McNugget Peta2 Tour

(PR) Silverstein is teaming up with peta2, the world's largest youth animal rights organization, for their upcoming "I Am Not a Nugget" tour. The Victory Records band will hit up 28 cities during its month-long trek, which starts on October 2 in Rockford, Ill., and finishes up on November 4 in Asbury Park, N.J. Joining Silverstein on the tour are From Autumn to Ashes, Strike Anywhere, Dance Gavin Dance, and A Day to Remember. The tour marks peta2's very first tour title sponsorship.Silverstein's tour comes on the heels of the release of their latest album, Arrivals and Departures, which debuted at number 25 on the U.S. Billboard 200 in July. At each stop along the tour, peta2 will have a booth where concertgoers can pick up literature and stickers as well as sign the "I Am Not a Nugget" petition. The petition calls on the government to include chickens in the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act, which would require that the animals be stunned before their throats are cut—as opposed to current methods, which include hanging chickens in shackles and slitting their throats while they are still conscious. 10/2 Rockford, Ill., Forest Hills Lodge
