(antiMusic) The Foo Fighters will take over New York's Fillmore (formerly Irving Plaza) next Thursday, September 20th. But they also just announced three more shows in early Rocktober with tickets going on sale this Saturday. Fans in Los Angeles, New Orleans, Atlanta and Atlantic City are the lucky recipients of tour dates. This Saturday the band will appear at the KROQ LA Invasion The Home Depot Center in the Los Angeles burbs. The new live dates are: 10/2 – New Orleans, LA – House of Blues * 10/4 – Atlanta, GA – Tabernacle * 10/6 – Atlantic City, NJ – Borgata. A full tour can't be far behind can it?
With all the crap on MTV it was rather surprising that the network invited the Foo Fighters to perform on Sunday at the VMAs, but perform they did and ironically showed why all of the nominated "artists" are sorely lacking. And they didn't do it alone, they were joined by System of a Down's Serj Tankian, Mastodon, Josh Homme & Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age and Cee- Lo (with a great cover of Prince's "Darling Nikki").
