(PR) Chuck Ragan has confirmed a month-long, headlining tour November 1 through December 2 in support of his new album Feast or Famine (SideOneDummy). The first part of Ragan’s tour, featuring Dear and the Headlights as main support, kicks off November 1 in Seattle and continues down the West Coast concluding in Los Angeles on November 9. The second half of the tour will begin November 23 in Tampa, followed by a stint in Ragan’s hometown of Gainesville before trekking up the East Coast and ending in Philadelphia on December 2. This new set of dates follows Ragan’s September 12 – October 14 European tour with performances in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Belgium.
In addition, Ragan’s song “Between the Lines” will be featured in the upcoming Vietnam-era documentary of the same name, due out early 2008. The song came to fruition after Ragan met with directors Ty Ponder and Scott Bass through a mutual friend. Following a day-long surf trip and a briefing on the film, Ragan took books of transcribed interviews home, and days later delivered a song interpreting the Vietnam War and its effects on two men’s lives, thoughts and balances; the natural born fighter and the natural born peace maker.
