(PR) Get interactive with Motörhead. Their Stage Fright DVD, an extraordinary look at the band's life, was released in the US earlier this year, but is now getting an upgrade - It is the first music HD DVD to feature online functions. The HD DVD production, released on SPV and produced in collaboration with Authoring Studio Imagion AG, is due out October 10, 2007 and will be the first HD DVD worldwide to use HD DVD-standard online functions. Since the US saw the arrival of the first two HD DVDs featuring online functions in early July, Motörhead's Stage Fright will be the first music production to follow suit and join the roster of dynamic HD DVDs. As defined by the HD DVD standard, each player will have a network interface to expand the pressed disc with additional contents.
Motörhead fans can look forward to the latest news and tour dates, pictures and fan artwork, which will be integrated in the HD DVD menus via the network interface of the IMAGION HD DVD server. In the “Motörhead for Live” section, Motörhead fans will be invited to present their latest tattoos, constantly expanding the HD DVD's tattoo gallery.
In addition to this highlight, the HD DVD will offer even more attractive and innovative features. An exclusive picture-in-picture video commentary sees the band talk about each of their songs and their performance at the concert, which was recorded in December 2004. The Create SetList option supports the compilation of individual set lists and the arrangement of the concert according to the viewer's preferences. The Snapshot feature makes it possible to “shoot” photos while replaying the concert, enhancing the disc with a personal picture gallery. The HD DVD also includes the bonus material from the Stage Fright double DVD.
Next to top-quality high-definition audio-visual features, the HD DVD will come with numerous interactive features such as picture-in-picture video commentaries and the option of compiling individual photo galleries or set lists. Involving the whole Motörhead fan community, the HD DVD will be updated regularly with dynamic online contents to supply HD DVD users with exclusive specials.
