(antiMusic) Remember Coolio? That's ok, he was a rapper that had a hit way back in 1995 with the song "Gangsta's Paradise." And while he hasn't topped the charts in over a decade he will soon return to the public spotlight in the form of a reality TV show on a women's cable network. A bit strange that, but Oxygen (Not We or one of those other women's cable networks) has ordered up six episodes of "Coolio & the Gang," which the Debby Beece, president of programming and marketing at Oxygen compares to "My Three Sons." (Ask your parents or grandparents what that was.)
According to Reuters "'Coolio & the Gang,' is set to air in the second-quarter of 2008, will follow the California rapper as he raises six teenagers by himself, while maintaining his rap career and launching a clothing line." Reality really is stranger than fiction. Of course, most reality TV is fiction. Who knows? This might be great. It has to be better than that Tommy Lee disaster.
