If you're Sir Elton John you just ask the "royal" beaurocrats to say it's all ok. That's a bit of an oversimplification but essentially what has happened. Hecklerspray has the report: We've all got embarrassing photos in our collections, maybe old school pictures or snaps of family members happily torturing hooded Iraqi detainees with dogs, but the trick is to keep those photos locked up at home.
