Hailed as "the heaviest, darkest metal tour of the summer, if not the year," the "Unholy Alliance Tour: Preaching to the Perverted," stomped and screamed around the globe last year. On October 30, just in time for Halloween, the "Unholy Alliance Tour" DVD package will be released (American Recordings) and will feature the tour's line-up - headliner Slayer, the undisputed kings of speed metal/thrash, and the "future of heavy metal contenders" - Lamb of God, Mastodon, Children of Bodom and Thine Eyes Bleed. The DVD will have an approximate running time of 90-minutes.The "Unholy Alliance Tour" DVD/CD was shot at Vancouver's General Motors Place on July 13, 2006, was directed by Adam Rothlein (Speedway Films), and boasts performance footage plus bonus material to include backstage, behind-the-scenes and one-on-one interviews, many of which were conducted by the Unholy Alliance artists themselves. Slayer's "Eyes of the Insane," which took home a Grammy Award this year, is included on the DVD. Other selections on the DVD include Lamb of God's "Vigil," Mastodon's "Blood & Thunder," "Capillarian Crest," and "Crystal Skull," Children of Bodom's "Angels Don't Kill" and "In Your Face," and Slayer's "Angel of Death," "Dead Skin Mask," "South of Heaven," and "Antichrist," among many others.
