(KNAC) Very sad news from KNAC.com: Legendary DJ Tawn Mastrey's sister, Cara delivers this health update Tuesday afternoon:"The family spent the day surrounding Tawn. Our 3 sisters, brother in laws, mother and friend, were with her all day. I had to hang up on being on hold forever for the Howard Stern show, (which was torture listening to the nonsense conversations while my sister lay dying). Tawn hated talk radio.We had to make a decision to take Tawn off life support system today because Tawn is no longer a candidate for a liver transplant. Her heart is not strong enough to take an operation says the doctors. They say she will pass naturally. She could pass away in a matter of hours, or days.
She is heavily sedated. I asked her if she was in pain to squint her eyes. She opened her eyes wide for a second, so I asked the nurse for more medication. Tawn is too weak to open her eyes, but she makes occasional sounds. She looks comatose. - more on this story
