(PR) Rock Ridge Music, well known as an independent label and marketing company, now offers full-service, multi-faceted artist management. As part of this expansion, the company has just signed Sister Hazel to an artist management deal. The platinum-selling band also released both a b-sides album (“BAM! Volume 1”) and a holiday disc (“Santa’s Playlist”) this year through the label arm of Rock Ridge Music. With a staff that has over 30 years combined experience working with Sister Hazel, the management team is headed up by CEO Tom Derr and President Jason Spiewak. Says Derr: “Working alongside longtime friends, creating and sharing in mutual success... what more could anyone ask for in a job?”
Adds Sister Hazel lead singer Ken Block, speaking on behalf of the band: “We’re all very excited about expanding our relationship with Rock Ridge Music to include complete band management. We’ve worked with Tom Derr in various capacities for most of our professional life, and in every way possible he has proven to be as good as it gets. The entire staff’s industry knowledge, professionalism, planning, execution and energy has been incredible. Their whole team is way out in front of all the challenges that artists face in today’s music industry and they’ve done a remarkable job with everything that we’ve ever done together. The work that Jason Spievak has done for us in the digital world has been nothing short of amazing. He’s created and found new opportunities for us that we never knew existed. We’re also extremely confident and happy with the job that Krista Mettler does for us with publicity. She was our publicist for the first million and a half records that we sold, and she still has that same fire for the gig.”
Says company Principal Chris Henderson (guitarist for the multi-platinum band 3 Doors Down): “Rock Ridge management offers the artist management services that they actually need, not what another artist management company might say they need. Rock Ridge works creatively with the artist to further their career in every respect. They use their collective music industry experience to the artist’s advantage. Rock Ridge does what needs to be done.”
