(PR) Loudon Wainwright III, Madeleine Peyroux, Dan Wilson and very special guests will perform at the third annual Holiday Cheer For FUV Concert, a benefit for noncommercial radio station WFUV (90.7 FM, wfuv.org). Taking place on Thursday, December 13 at 8:00 PM at The Concert Hall at the New York Society for Ethical Culture (2 West 64th Street at Central Park West), the concert is produced by Metropolitan Talent Presents.
Tickets are $75 and will be available through Ticketmaster (ticketmaster.com or 212.307.7171) beginning Saturday, November 17 at 10:00 AM. VIP tickets are $250 and include a pre-concert reception with the WFUV staff. $500 tickets include a pre-concert reception and front row seating.

Wainwright is also the patriarch of one of the most talented families in music, with progeny Rufus and Martha enjoying successful careers of their own. With a voice often compared to Billie Holidays, blues singer Madeleine Peyroux has released three albums to date, placing her own original material beside interpretations of songs popularized by the likes of Bessie Smith, Serge Gainsbourg and Hank Williams. Peyrouxs eloquent, understated delivery has brought her international acclaim, with her 2004 album, Careless Love, selling over a million copies. Renowned for the elegance of his melodies, the intelligence of his lyrics and the purity of his voice, singer-songwriter Dan Wilson released his debut solo album, Free Life, in Fall 2007. Formerly the primary songwriter for Minneapolis band Semisonic, Wilson is also an in-demand producer who has collaborated with artists including the Dixie Chicks (for whom he wrote the Grammy Award- winning song Not Ready to Make Nice), Nickel Creek and Jewel.
