(CMJ) Although 2008 hasn't yet begun, it's already shaping up to be a great year for music, starting with the reunions of My Bloody Valentine and now Big Dipper. Nearly 16 years after the band's breakup, Merge is announcing a reissue of what they are calling Supercluster: The Big Dipper Anthology, due March 18. This three-CD set includes the band's Boo Boo EP and their first two albums, as well as nine bonus tracks, a video and one previously unreleased CD made up of their final recordings. In addition to the release, the original Big Dipper lineup will play four shows on the East Coast in April, and if all goes well, they'll extend that to the midwest later in the year. - more on this story
