(PR) Bryan Scary and The Shredding Tears perform campy pop-horror" theatrics for national tour this summer in support of debut album The Shredding Tears. Scarys debut album The Shredding Tears, named after his backing band, (Get that? The band is Bryan Scary and The Shredding Tears, and the album is The Shredding Tears whew!) is an hour-plus 15-track concept album that shifts from 60s psychedelia to glam rock to chamber pop to progressive rock to musical theatre, all rolled into one. As a vocalist, says music journalist George Graham, Scary is also impressive in his range and chameleon-like ability to put on the nasal twang of a John Lennon, layering on sweet falsetto Beach-Boy-style parts, and dropping down for some low vocals, and even tossing off a momentary Bob Dylan imitation. 05/28 New York, NY Pianos
