(PR) Musical innovator and creative entrepreneur, Dave Stewart will release Go Green, the official Greenpeace anthem for Earth Day on April 17 via iTunes. Stewart produced, wrote and performed on the track which features Sarah McLachlan, Annie Lennox, Bonnie Raitt, Natalie Imbruglia, Imogean Heap, and Nadirah X. Go Green is the first recording produced under Greenpeace Works, a new platform for activism for the entertainment community, created by Greenpeace. There are a lot of people deciding to go green these days, which is cool, so we decided to add our voices to the symphony. We cant have people thinking that going green is a fad, its a way of life, said Stewart. It was either make this record or climb to the top of the Hollywood sign and paint it green. That might have to come later.Stewart, and his new company, Weapons of Mass Entertainment, are committed to marrying the creative with the philanthropic, which has long been a trademark of Stewarts career, using his artistic talents to further the causes of Greenpeace, Amnesty International and the Global fight against AIDS.
