(PR) Los Angeles based THE BASTARD FAIRIES have quietly on their own become somewhat of an internet phenomena. Within a span of just five months, they have become the #18 Most Subscribed (All Time) Musicians and #31 Most Viewed (All Time) Musicians on You Tube with their innovative homemade videos for their upcoming release Memento Mori (The Bastard Fairies Records/Adrenaline Music Group), in-stores on April 10th.Utilizing Garage Band software on a Mac and searching thrift stores for old guitars, children’s instruments and other odd items, YELLOW THUNDER WOMAN and ROBIN DAVEY created Memento Mori which will surely have people saying “did they really say that?” That’s the appeal that the band has. They speak their mind through their music. The reason they started creating their own music is because “there wasn’t any music out there that they liked listening too”, YELLOW THUNDER WOMAN says. With tracks like “Whatever”, “A Venomous Tale” and “We’re All Going To Hell”, YELLOW THUNDER WOMAN takes you on a journey portraying life’s many trials and pitfalls through their twisted point of view. Soon after the album was completed, they opted to give it away FREE on their website as a way of getting the attention of music lovers and spreading the word about their music.
