(antiMusic) Axl wasn't on hand but the other members of the classic Guns N' Roses lineup did attend the 20th anniversary party for their landmark debut "Appetite for Destruction," which took place at the Key Club in Hollywood on Saturday night. Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan joined Steven Adler's band (Adler's Appetite) during their set to perform "Mr. Brownstone" and "Paradise City". There are some reports that Slash attended the event but did not join the band on stage. We were supposed to attend the event but due to unforeseen circumstance we were unable to so we can not give you a first hand report of the reunion. But we're working on getting comment from the band.
This was the reportedly the first time that Stradlin, McKagan and Alder have performed together since Adler left Guns N' Roses in 1990. Tracii Guns, the guns in Guns N' Roses, also performed a set with his classic lineup of LA Guns. To mark the anniversary we have posted a special edition of our classics series. - You can read that here.
