(PR) This summer, Starbucks Entertainment will distribute new digital EPs from emerging artists Rissi Palmer, Alice Russell and WinterKids exclusively on the iTunes store. The release of great new digital music furthers Starbucks commitment to foster musical discovery both through the selection of physical CDs available in Starbucks stores and digitally through the Starbucks Entertainment area on iTunes (www.itunes.com/Starbucks). On July 17, Starbucks Entertainment will introduce one of country music’s brightest new stars, Rissi Palmer, with an exclusive four-song EP from 1720 Entertainment, “Country Girl – EP.” The digital EP release comes in advance of her self-titled debut full length album on 1720 Entertainment in the fall. “Country Girl – EP,” features the title track hit song and three additional tracks only available on the digital EP.
Starbucks Entertainment will also distribute digital EPs from UK-based artists Alice Russell and WinterKids. Female soul singer Alice Russell bridges sultry jazz and hip-hop in her new four-song EP from Tru-Thoughts Recordings, “Under the Munka Moon – EP,” a follow up to her acclaimed 2004 UK debut album “Under the Munka Moon” and 2006 sequel “Under the Munka Moon 2.” “Under the Munka Moon – EP” will be available exclusively on iTunes beginning on July 24.
The WinterKids’ latest EP from Little House Records, “Marzipan & Ribbons – EP” offers the playful pop stylings of one of the UK’s most promising new artists. The new four-song EP is available exclusively on iTunes beginning on July 31.
