The Doors Get Hollywood Star

(antiMusic) The Doors will finally get their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this Wednesday. The ceremony will take place at 11:30 am outside the Virgin Mega Store at Hollywood / Highland. Legendary Los Angeles DJ Jim Ladd will speak at the ceremony as well as Elektra Records founder Jac Holzman. Unlike some stars that purchased stars on the Walk of Fame (yes we are looking at you Britney Spears and Ryan Seacrest), The Doors earned theirs as 2007 marks the 40th anniversary for the band. Earlier this month the band received a Lifetime Achievement Award during the 49th Grammy Awards Ceremony. And on May 25th the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will open the "Break On Through -- The Lasting Legacy Of The Doors" exhibit. - Click here for the Full Story
