(PR) Spring North American tour dates have been confirmed for LCD Soundsystem, kicking off March 30 with a two-night stand at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom and continuing through May with a performance at Coachella, a special club show in Brooklyn and much more. Additional DJ dates with LCD’s James Murphy and Pat Mahoney will also be announced.LCD Soundsystem’s “Sound of Silver,” called one of “the most hotly-anticipated CD’s of 2007” by The New York Times, will be released on March 20. The follow-up to their Grammy-nominated 2005 debut, “Sound of Silver” further expands LCD’s sonic palette, taking its experimental impulses to wild new places but also firmly establishing itself as a singularly great pop group. Pulsing beats, abstract funk, crystal melodies and towering walls of sound combine to create a sound genuinely like no other.
