Cops Storm Concert - Top Story of 07

[originally published 06/15/07](Contact Music) British band THE EDITORS' gig in Germany last night (13Jun07) was cut short after armed police stormed the venue demanding they stopped playing.

The rising guitar stars were performing an encore at the Kulturkirche venue in Cologne, when armed officers stormed the stage "due to them being excessively loud".

Bassist Russell Leetch says, "The venue was an old church over the road from a load of houses and, during our set, they called the police to complain about the noise.
