(antiMusic) Former Savage Garden singer Darren Hayes was arrested last week for reportedly racially abusing a waiter at a Thai restaurant. He turned himself in voluntarily to police and is currently out on bail.According to Gigwise, "Hayes was taken in for questioning by Police on Friday night for racially abusing staff at the Busaba Eathai on Wardour Street on July 22 " "We can confirm that a 35-year-old man was arrested by Westminster police on suspicion of racially abusing a member of staff," a Scotland Yard spokesman said. "He was arrested after voluntarily attending a Central London police station by appointment. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries, until the 21st of September." According to some reports he has since denied making any racist comments.
