(PR) BMRC Joins Forces with Food Bank for New York City, Partnerships for Parks, American Littoral Society, Hot 97, Z100 and Many More to Help Keep New York Beautiful Volunteers to Gain Exclusive Access to an amazing concert featuring top rock and hip hop recording artists that will include Ludacris and others to be announced soon, at Boost Mobile RockCorps Concert Saturday, October 6 at Radio City Music Hall.Boost Mobile RockCorps (BMRC), the national youth volunteerism movement that since 2005 has motivated more than 25,000 young people across the country to get involved and help their communities, is back in New York. Volunteer events began August 18 and will take place through October 6 with more than 50 projects throughout the tri-state area, engaging more than 5,000 youth volunteers to give back to their communities. The unprecedented program gives local youth an opportunity to earn tickets to an exclusive concert event in exchange for volunteering four hours of community service. Tri-state area youth can register for select service opportunities at http://www.boostmobilerockcorps.com through October 6. BMRC’s New York movement will include volunteer projects in all five boroughs and New Jersey. For the third consecutive year, BMRC is partnering with CITYArts, the Food Bank for New York City, Partnerships for Parks and the American Littoral Society. Additionally, first time grass roots partners include Social Change Media, East Village Community Coalition, and Recycle-A-Bicycle. BMRC is also taking the volunteerism movement to Jersey City and Newark, NJ for community service initiatives with the American Cancer Society. BMRC utilizes music to inspire and encourage community service and top New York City radio stations Hot 97 and Z100 have both enlisted in the movement for change. These partnerships will include on air support, live remotes as well as give-a-ways at select volunteer locations and events.
