(PR) Hollywood Records released the sophomore album Cold In California from Memphis band Ingram Hill on August 21, 2007. Known to their rabid fanbase as true road-warriors who often play more than 250 dates a year, Ingram Hill launched the first leg of their fall tour in Atlanta on August 19 as part of the 99X Unplugged In The Park series. The band mixes in a little fun and harmonies on September 10th in Chicago where they will perform an acoustic set and lead singer Justin Moore will sing the national anthem at U.S Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox.
In October, Ingram Hill performs for the second time on West Virginia Public Broadcasting's venerable radio show "Mountain Stage", which is heard on over 100 U.S. public radio stations via Public Radio International and via satellite on XM Radio and Voice of America.
Cold In California, produced by Oliver Leiber (Paula Abdul, BB Mak, The Corrs) at his hilltop studio overlooking Hollywood, is the culmination of a year-long odyssey for the band. They essentially uprooted themselves from their homes in Memphis to supposedly sunny Los Angeles. Having never recorded an album outside of the South, Ingram Hill thought the City of Angels might provide a new take on the bands nomadic lifestyle. However as the title indicates, Ingram Hill found some surprises in Southern California, not the least of which was the weather. "That title is as figurative as it is literal," says lead singer Justin Moore of Cold In California. "It's about the surprises of everything that goes into making a record for a major label: what you think will happen and what actually happens."
Guitarist Phil Bogard elaborates: "It's been a process, a very different thing for us
we've always done everything ourselves. It's been a small camp - the last record we made was still made with the small camp - then we got signed. To make this record, we've spread out a little more and I think we came out with some stuff that will take us to the next level."
