(PR) Singer-songwriter Josh Kelley will team up with the Pat McGee Band with this fall. From September 15th through November 10th, Kelley and PMB will co-headline, hitting over 40 major US cities across the country.Having been on tour in the US over the past year promoting his last album "Just Say the Word" (released October 2006), Josh Kelley jumped right back in the studio to start recording and producing his fourth album "Special Company." As with his last album, "Just Say the Word," he will release "Special Company" on his own label, DNK Records, which operates out of the Wilspro Management offices in New York City. Kelley plans to release the album in late 2007/early 2008. Kelley is also producing and starring in his own documentary entitled "Making the Modern Day Label" which he plans to make into a TV reality show about making and breaking new artists on an indie label.
Formed by Pat McGee in Virginia in 1996, The Pat McGee Band has been rockin' live audiences for over a decade, playing over 250 shows each year nationwide. Having released 6 albums, two of which on the Warner Brothers label and two with the indie label Kirtland Records, PMB broke away to independently release their seventh album "These Days (The Virginia Sessions)," which was released on July 6, 2007. Much of the album is inspired by the tragic loss of their drummer, Chris Williams, who died unexpectedly of heart failure last fall. The album ranges from moving ballads written in memory of Williams to some of the most upbeat songs the band has ever recorded.
Both PMB and Kelley are thrilled to be touring together for the first time since both camps totally admire each other. McGee stated, "When we first met about 7 years ago, I was so impressed with Josh and his band
it's great to play with such polished, badass musicians who challenge and inspire the rest of us to be better." Kelley is equally complimentary, stating "Pat and his band are such incredible entertainers
Both Pat and I are obsessed with music and with taking huge crowds on emotional roller coaster rides. Why wouldn't we tour together? It's only natural."
