(PR) Connecticuts The Voodoo Jets gaining notoriety with critical acclaim for their debut CD, SUPERSONIC, has announced the addition of bassist Clint Amereno to their lineup. Band founder and keyboardist Micah Sheveloff will be taking over lead vocal duties from former bassist Francesco Perrouna. I reached that point in the artistic process where I needed to sing my own melodies, Sheveloff reported. I asked Fowler to come up with the most killer rhythm section for the next record, and he asked Clint to the party.
Amereno has had experience playing numerous styles, both live and in the studio. His first band opened in support of such acts as Fear Factory and Fuel before he signed on to tour with 12 Stones, headlining the See Spot Rock Tour, and then going on to co-headline with 3 Days Grace and Tantric.
Amereno then toured with 12 Stones as they opened for bands such as Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Puddle of Mudd, and doing one off dates with other acts like Jet and Saliva. I really liked the songs for the new Voodoo Jets record and I love playing with Fowler, so it was a no-brainer for me to sign on for this project, said Amereno, who is working on a record with former Billy Joel drummer Liberty Devitto and getting his degree from the University of Connecticut.
