Music To Hurt People By

08/22/07
.
(antiMusic) We all have them, songs that are the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard, that when heard make us what to reach out and touch someone in an unfriendly way. Taking any song currently on TRL out of the obvious consideration it turns out that James Blunt produced the song that is most likely to inspire violence.

When asked which songs make you want to commit violent acts by Rolling Stone the majority of people named Blunt's "You're Beautiful". An understandable choice. The Black Eyed Peas "My Humps" were just behind Blunt at no 2 with Smash Mouth's "All Star" being the third most likely song to make you want to break your foot off in someone's ass.

For the 4th and 5th place winners we have to journey back in time a little further. Coming in at a solid (and ironic) No. 4 is Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry Be Happy" with the unforgettable Village People classic "YMCA" rounding out the Top 5.

1. “You’re Beautiful,” James Blunt
2. “My Humps,” Black Eyed Peas
3. “All Star,” Smash Mouth
4. “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” Bobby McFerrin
5. “YMCA,” Village People
6. “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” Deep Blue Something
7. “With Arms Wide Open,” Creed
8. “I Will Walk 500 Miles,” The Proclaimers
9. “Zombie,” Cranberries
10. “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” John Mayer
