(PR) As a follow up to their eminently successful, 35-city SRO North American summer tour, much buzzed-about indie-rock up-and-comers Portugal. The Man will join up with Rocky Votolato for a 30-date trek across the U.S. and Canada. With The Great Depression opening, the tour will kick off on September 17 in Lawrence, KS, playing major and secondary markets, and will wrap up in Austin, TX on October 20.P.TM's Fall jaunt is in support of their new album "Church Mouth" (Fearless) which was released July 24 and put the band onto the Billboard charts for the first time in their career, having debuted at lucky #13 on the trade's Top Alternative New Artists chart.
A Portugal. The Man show is usually never what you quite expect, truly never the same night after night, and these upcoming concerts should prove to be no different. The band utilizes a compelling light show to create various moods and a balance of abstract esotericism and vivid metal imagery, and guest musicians tend to jump on stage for a song or two. Expect to hear a selection of new songs from "Church Mouth" as well as songs from the band's 2006 album, "Waiter: You Vultures!"
