(antiMusic) Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will rock again this Roctober when they release a "Magic" new album on October 2nd via Columbia Records. This is the first new album of material with Bruce and his legendary backing band since 2002's "The Rising." Fans of the rock'n Bruce can rejoice because after his recent excursions into the blues and folk, this album is being billed as a return to from for Springsteen and guitarists Steve Van Zandt and Nils Lofgren, bassist Garry Tallent, drummer Weinberg, keyboardists Federici and Roy Bittan, sax man Clemons, violinist Soozie Tyrell and vocalist Patti Scialfa. Sprinsteen manager Jon Landau dubbed the album "high-energy rock" and "immensely entertaining."
The band spent two months recording "Magic" with Brendan O'Brien producing the 11-track album which will feature the title tack "Magic" along with "Radio Nowhere," "You'll Be Comin' Down," "Livin' in the Future," "Your Own Worst Enemy," "Gypsy Biker," "Girls in Their Summer Clothes," "I'll Work for Your Love," "Last to Die," "Long Walk Home" and "Devil's Arcade."
No official word yet on the expect supporting tour.
