(antiMusic) The last stop on the Violent Femmes tour is the court house. Bassist Brian Ritchie is suing his bandmate Gordon Gano for misappropriation of assets, improper accounting and nonpayment of royalties. He also accuses Gano of selling out the band's reputation by licensing a song for a fast food commercial. Ritchie filed the suit in U.S. District Court in Manhattan on Wednesday. According to Contact Music, Ritchie is seeking to be "recognized as half owner of the eighties band's songs and wants an account of past and future royalties as well as unspecified damages." Ritchie also reportedly has taken exception to Gano allowing the band's hit "Blister in the Sun" to be in a commercial for Wendy's. Gano reportedly says that he was completely surprised by the lawsuit and says that with only a couple of exceptions he wrote all of the band's material.
