Classical Radiohead Coming To U.S.

(antiMusic) If you thought you would never see a classical music concert filled with generation x'ers you better think again. When the man behind the orchestra performances is a Radiohead star you can expect a lot of people under 40 to be in attendance when it hits the States.Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood plans a U.S. performance early next year but it's not a alt rock n roll extravaganza that fans will be paying to see. Instead they will be treated to Greenwood's classical music piece "Popcorn Superhet Receiver" which he wrote for the BBC in 2005. Greenwood premiered the compisition in November of last year in London and it will make it's U.S. debut in January of next year at New York City's St. Paul The Apostle church during the The Wordless Music Series. Meanwhile, Radiohead are said to be putting the finishing touches on their new studio album. But will it come out before "Chinese Democracy"? We don't know, but we do know that we can reference that mysterious Guns N' Roses album in almost any unrelated news report as you'll see in several of today's stories =)
