Ozzfest Loses Another Band

(antiMusic) Bands are dropping off the free Ozzfest faster than sales decline of Ozzy's new CD. The latest band to leave the tour is Circus Diablo, the supergroup featuring members of The Cult, Fuel and The Almighty. Interscope baby band Black Tide quickly filled the second stage slot making their Ozzfest debut on Saturday. Circus Diablo explained their departure as having to do with imminent stork visits for Ricky Warwick and Brett Scallions. Of course, they probably knew the due dates for their new offspring before the tour got underway but it's as good as an excuse as any. A few weeks back Mondo Generator dropped off the tour with very little explanation. They were replaced by a Roadrunner band that we won't name since the last time we posted news about them instead of getting a thanks for coverage we received a rather nasty email from a junior PR jaggoff at the label because we didn't include a link to their website. That was the straw that broke the camels back in a long line of antagonistic unprofessional moves by PR staff at the mallcore label. So don't expect news on their artists here, you can find it in teenybopper centric publications as well as other rock pubs they haven't totally pissed off yet. As for Black Tide, they are previewing material on the tour from their forthcoming Interscope debut due sometime next year.
