(antiMusic) Drowning Pool's new CD 'Full Circle' hits stores this week and to celebrate we have asked frontman Ryan McCombs to tell us a little bit about his favorite five songs from the CD. Here is Ryan with his take on the track "Shame".Shame was written fairly early compared to other songs on the record. The song continued to develop and grow as we played it live and in the rehearsal spot. For me this song is one of the most personal on the CD. I wrote the lyrics during one of those nights where I was drowning myself in booze and the head-grown pity spawned from being away from home and away from my family. My greatest fear, that someday my kids will resent me for being gone so much, inspired this song. For me "Shame" is an apology to everyone in my life that I have neglected in the pursuit of this music-starved-disease. Even though it's very personal I think that the core of the song expresses an emotion fundamental enough for listeners to relate it to their own relationships. The song also appeals to me musically because the guys captured every mood in this track. - Learn more about this new release, as well as their worthy USO efforts for wounded troops, grab tour dates and more here
