Zero 7's Sia Announces Solo Release

08/03/07
.
(PR) Whether you are a long-time Sia fan from her days with Zero 7 (Simple Things, When It Falls and The Garden), or a more recent convert after hearing her solo track “Breathe Me” featured in the final episode of “Six Feet Under,” you will no doubt be excited to know that Sia will release a new solo full-length CD this fall entitled Some People Have Real Problems.

The new collection of music is at once upbeat, quirky, and achingly gorgeous, featuring incredible song writing and lush arrangements to frame Sia’s stunning vocals. Sia also enlisted the help of a few talented friends when recording Some People Have Real Problems, including Beck, who sings on a track called 'Academia.'

The video for standout track ‘Buttons’ has already garnered Sia a bit of attention after being posted by blogger Perez Hilton. The video has taken off virally, charting as the #1 most linked and #2 most viewed clip on YouTube the week it was leaked onto the Internet.

Now living in Los Angeles, Sia will support her new release with a month-long U.S. tour this fall. And New York fans take note: Sia will also perform an exclusive show in New York at Hiro Ballroom on September 12.
