Great White Manager Up For Parole

(antiMusic) The former manager of Great White, who lit the pyrotechnics that sparked the club fire which took 100 lives in 2003, is eligible for parole in September. If approved he will be able to leave prison after serving only one third of his sentence. A hearing with the parole board is scheduled for September 19th.Daniel Biechele, the former manager of Great White was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter. Biechele was the manager of the band at the time and lit the pyrotechnics during Great White's performance at The Station nightclub in West Warwick on February 20th, 2003. The soundproofing foam at the club ignited and spread quickly through the club. 100 people died in the fire including Great White guitarist Ty Longley. AP reports that a four-member panel of the parole board will meet with Biechele at the state prison, according parole board chairwoman Lisa Holley. Relatives of the victims will be able to make their case at a separate hearing on September 5th.
